Case study: Rebuilding a morning routine
Participant: Tom W., freelance developer trading UK mid-caps part-time
Challenge: Tom had inconsistent results on gap-up days. He classified most gaps as "just gaps" and drew opening range lines at different times each morning depending on when he sat down.
Approach: Tom attended the Opening Range Workshop in February 2026, then booked two coaching sessions a month apart. In the first coaching call we reviewed twelve trading days and found he had misclassified four of six gaps. In the second, we tightened his pre-market scan to a fixed 07:45 start.
Outcome: Tom reported fewer impulsive entries on gap mornings and a written routine he now follows without deviation. He continues to trade independently and has not booked further sessions, which we consider a success.
