Opening Range Workshop
A full-day, hands-on session for self-directed traders who want a repeatable morning routine built around gap context and the first 30 minutes of the London session.
Who this is for
This workshop suits traders who already place their own trades on UK or European equities and want clearer structure for the opening hour. You should be comfortable reading candlestick charts and placing basic orders. No prior formal training in gap analysis is required, though familiarity with pre-market scanning helps.
What you will learn
By the end of the day you will have a written playbook covering how you classify overnight gaps, where you draw your 15- and 30-minute boundaries, and what conditions must be present before you act on a range breakout or failure.
Morning session (09:00–12:30)
- Gap classification using three months of FTSE 100 examples
- Pre-market scan checklist: news, ADR, and prior-day context
- Drawing consistent opening range boundaries on 5-minute charts
- Volume and tick confirmation rules for breakout entries
- Live annotation of the current session as the market opens
Afternoon session (13:30–16:30)
- Failed breakout patterns and when to stand aside
- Partial gap fills and their effect on range bias
- Afternoon management: trailing stops and time-based exits
- Building your personal morning routine document
- Q&A with annotated replay of the morning session
What is included
Lunch, printed workbook with annotated chart examples, access to the session recording for 30 days, and a follow-up email answering any questions raised during the day.
What is not included
Brokerage accounts, live trading during the session, trade signals, or ongoing mentorship beyond the 30-day recording access. This is education, not investment advice.
